One hundred years have passed since the great Sith War and a new source of evil has begun to spread its cruel influence across the Galactic Republic. Unknown to the jedi council alien race has pledged to bring down the jedi knights. With an attack on a remote space station to assassinate the only two masters who had discovered the plot. Only quick action by a small band of padawans kept the alien plot from being complete. While unable to save the masters themselves, the apprentices managed to retrieve the evidence collected by the masters.
Using the information they saved, the padawans find themselves exploring the ruins of a long dead race called the Ketzai. Realizing the danger posed to them if the young jedi discover their grander plot, the alien menace sent an agent racing to the ketzai homeworld to ready a trap. The agent, a jedi knight corrupted by the lure of the Dark Side, consumed with his lust to kill the agents of light lets slip the closely guarded secret of the Quicksilver - a biometallic liquid that warps any living creature into a force of evil. Revealed by his own unchecked hatred, the agent and his possessed minions were quickly thwarted by the padawan band's daring acts of bravery.
Armed with knowledge of the Quicksilver and information gleaned from the fallen jedi's ship the jedi apprentices travel to Coruscant so that the jedi council might be warned of the impending danger. While on the Republic capital, a local gang, mistaking the padawans for mere tourists attack the band of friends. No match for the jedi, the thugs are easily defeated and in the chaos of the battle an enemy spy is unmasked, revealing the identity of a second alien race who threatens them.
Now aware that the true enemy is both the Nexi and the Trinn, the padawans travel with their masters into the territory of the enemy, the Nexi Consortium. Attacked by the highly advanced nexi starfighters almost immediately after arrival, the jedi ship is forced down onto the hostile world. Making the long trek to the primary nexi installation, the jedi discover that their enemies have set about rebuilding a powerful ketzai artifact. Recognizing the great threat of the ancient device the mixed group of jedi embark on a dangerous plan to steal at least a portion of the weapon. The masters, forced to focus on the threat of three Trinn Adepts, charge their padawans to carry out the difficult task of stealing away parts of the enemy installation.
After narrowly escaping the enemy base with the artifact the padawans were soon split up and sent on various tasks throughout the Expansion Region. During their many travels the group discovered that the enemy alliance had seduced a near by power to aid them in their plot to invade Republic space. When a new noble house assumed control of the government, the Rav Imperium signed the Pact of Expansion with the Nexi Consortium and the Trinn Amalgam, forming the Triax Alliance. War was soon to follow.
When word of the invasion reached the apprentices in their various places across the region, they immediately made their way towards Ord Manteene, each with a small piece of the puzzle at hand, they all felt they could aid in the Republic's efforts to avert a great loss of life. The vultan arriving ahead of the invasion, he set about warning the planetary defense force. The zexx took a more subtle route, boarding the enemy command cruiser and disabling it from within, buying the Republic precious minutes in the heat of battle. Even the raban jedi, forced to side against his own people led a navy strike cruiser and its auxillary fighter wings in a couragous assault that bought the refugee fleet enough time to flee the battlefield.
With the Triax War quickly gaining momentum in favor of the invaders, the jedi apprentices learn of a weakness at the highest levels of the Rav Imperium. Knowing that such a power shift would result in the raban retreating from the current conflict, such a change in balance would allow the republic navy to win in a matter of weeks. Each of the small band of friends started on their part of the quest to save the Republic, but even in the beginning it looked as if failure was looming just over the horizon. The raban jedi name Vedrix had been apparently murdered by a sabatuer hiding in his flight squadron. Distraught by the death of their friend, the remaining padawans vowed to see their fallen friend's world freed from the grip of evil, his death would not be in vain.
Many were the parts that led up to the historic moment in the raban imperial palace. The small jawa Het single handedly captured a Triax penal colony freeing 10,000 prisoners of war. The liberation serving as a distraction to the rav system defense forces, the bulk of their forces were deployed to the prison. Carefully watching the rav deployment, the zexx shadow,Jettison, disabled the system defense grid and communications arrays, the rav capital was isolated. This allowed the zexx's fellow shadow apprentice, Khan, to break free the true and rightful ruler of the imperium, giving him time to get the heir to the system capital. Knowing that simply changing the ruler would not be enough, the vultan battlemaster Korral undertook the most dangerous part of the mission, he was to destroy the source of evil that was eating away at the heart of raban leadership, a Ketzai Avatar.
As all came to a climax, Jettison joined the Het in securing the escape of a scout whose information was desperately needed. Their ship's hyperdrive disabled by raban fighters, they travelled to the capital city to join their friends. Khan, travelling with the rightful ruler encountered the now wounded vultan battlemaster who had just emerged victorious in his battle. With raban forces closing in all about and both of the worlds leading lesser houses now also preparing to destroy the intruders, Vedrix stepped from the shadows and offered the true Sceptre of Authority to the young man Khan had brought. When the rulers of houses Secundi and Traeus stepped forward to dispute the fraud, their seals of station hummed to life, something that could only happen when the true sceptre is being held by its rightful owner. The Rav stood down.
With the dissolution of the third member of the alliance, the Triax War quickly shifted...
