Head Coach, Justin Corvin: (contact info- jec2209@aol.com , 859-913-1221)
Justin has been a swimmer and coach in the MOWSC since he was ten years old. He swam for Lexington Catholic High School along with Wildcat Aquatics through High School and still holds the records for the 50 freestyle (:21.00), 100 freestyle (:46.28) and 200 freestyle (1:41.21). He was also High School State Champion his junior year and placed 2nd at the U.S.S. Swimming 2005 Short Course Sectionals. Following High School, he attended and swam for the LSU Tigers his freshman year of college. He returned home and now attends the University of Kentucky. Justin has been a part of EWCC swim team the past 3 years. Along with being a team member, he was also the Assistant Coach in 2005 and has helped by giving swim lessons at EW the last 3 summers and was the head coach last summer, 2007, here at EW.
Assistant Coach, Cassie Sharp: (contact info- cswim1012@aol.com)
Cassie has been in year-round U.S.S. Swimming since the age of 7. She swam on Highbridge Aquatics from age 7-15, and then swam for Wildcat Aquatics from age 15-18. She also did country-club swimming (CKSC) with Lansdowne from age 5-10 and from ages 11-13 she swam for Spindletop. Cassie is also a Lexington Catholic graduate who achieved many accomplishments in her four years of high school, in both swimming and academics. She is currently finishing her freshman year at Centre College. Cassie was the assistant coach last summer, 2007, for our Seahorses.
In addition to Justin’s and Cassie’s swim backgrounds, both are knowledgeable on each stroke and techniques. And, maybe most important, both have the desire for competitiveness, but never lose the sight of having fun.
