When my son Samuel was 13 months old, he was casually fed a small piece of toast on which was a dab of peanut butter. This was not his first exposure to peanuts, but it was his first reaction. We quickly learned via our Doctor that peanuts are life-threatening to children like Sam, and he must carry epi-pens with him at all times in hopes of avoiding anaphylactic shock and possible death.

Because Sam is too little for a Medic-Alert bracelet and too young to explain to caregivers what his special dietary needs are, I created a few shirts for him and kids like him to wear. From these first four designs has mushroomed nearly 40 separate designs and literally hundreds of products.
