Real Time Astronomy

Real Time Astronomy is a program that was written in 1991 by Robert Sheaffer. It allows one to use setting circles on a Dobsonian telescope and quickly find objects with the telescope. I made one change to the Messier catalog. I added most of the named stars from FKSTARS.CAT. That way, there is no need to change catalogs when looking up bright stars to aid in aligning the setting circles. Setting the circles in the area of the sky you're observing in will help minimize errors on your mount, setting circle s, and exactness of level.
