plywood ceiling
First replace the drywall ceiling with plywood --
note ceiling's sag to bottom of I-beam

bad joists
short beam
a couple of sistered 2x6s should help the joists east of the I-beam
-- wrestling these things up 11', alone, is a challenge!

The ridge pole is already less sway backed.
long beam
Continuous timbers would have worked, but
two aren't enough with splices -- not for a 21 foot span
(I know it's bad design, but it's a lot better than it was!)
almost done
For the main room, it's just lighting and cosmetics now.
Note the tripled beam, shimmed joints, and extra bolts
