What you need: frying
pan, bowl big enough to put bread into. Eggs, cream or milk, butter,
Bread, vanilla extract, almond extract, cinnamon and sugar, Maple
syrup (or whatever pancake/waffle syrup you like.).
For 4 to 5 Pieces of
toast you need 2 Large eggs or 3 small ones. If you need more you can
always make more as you go. |
First: break your eggs into your bowl and
whip together (I just use a fork) until
yolks are blended into whites.
Then add about 2 Tablespoons of milk or cream ( I
used canned evaporated milk most of the time, straight)
Second: mix about 1
tablespoon of cinnamon with a bit of sugar, to taste. Add this to egg mixture.
Then add in about 1/8 Teaspoon (or a 'dash') of
Vanilla and Almond extract.
Put butter in your pan and turn on the heat to
medium. Let butter melt and coat the whole bottom of the pan with it.

Take your fresh bread slices and lay them in the
bowl on top of egg mixture. Then gently press down to get the whole
side coated in the mix. Then flip bread over and do the same on the
other side.
Next lift bread out of the bowl and let excess
coating drip off.
Now put your coated
bread into your pan and cook it until it is nice and brown on both sides.
Put some butter on your toast and some maple syrup
and enjoy! ;o}
