>My MINI Cooper S

I have a 2008 MINI Cooper "S" on order. It should arrive in Mid to late March 2008. It looks like the one pictured . Since I plan on keeping this car for the next 10 years at least, that will make 15 years living with a single model car. I really can't think of any other car I'd rather live with that long though. It give very high performance, good gas milage (30+) has reasonable room for carrying passangers and packages. Below is the current MINI I've been driving the last 5 years.

Info on our (BMW) MINI Cooper.

This is The day we picked up the 2003 MINI Cooper at Bill Jacobs BMW/MINI in Naperville, Jeannine is standing next to it.

How do I like it? I plan to trade it in on the series 2 MINI Cooper in a couple years, in other words, I love it.

This is great handling fun to drive car. It gets smiles everywhere I go and frequently people come up in parking lots to ask questions about it, see the luggage space with the seats folden down etc. It gets around 30 mpg, does 0-60 mph in a little over 8 seconds and handles like it's glued to the road. Recently a lady driving a GEO Metro actually flagged me down and asked for ride, which I was happy to give. She said her two dreams had been to ride on an elephant, and ride in a Mini Cooper and they both had been fulfilled now this summer! I wonder where she flagged down an elephant?

On a "touring lap" at Road America in Elk Hart Lake Wisconsin.

Playing with a Porsche also at Road America.

Check out the Jaguar XK120 in front of us. My next car will be the new 2nd generation BMW Mini Cooper S in fall of 2008.

It doesn't take up much space, which helps me get four cars in my two car garage!
