ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Chris Langston, an aspiring web designer and digital artist located in Kokomo, Indiana. I became interested in design when I was very young, and spent hours drawing and doodling onto pretty much anything I could find. As I grew older, I seemingly lost interest until I discovered the digital world and what it had to offer for those that liked to draw and design.

MY EDUCATION

I've been designing for almost a decade now, and started making websites back in the days when Angelfire and Homestead were the big names for that stuff. Discovering line breaks and horizontal rules were considered a milestone in my self-education at that time. I had played around with an old program called Photoshop 3 for a while, but lost interest eventually. Then, at a point in which I was questioning my purpose even being in high school, I entered the local career center and rediscovered Photoshop (now in it's 6th version), Illustrator, and Quark Xpress and how cool those programs were. Were it not for that class and it's instructor, Jay Davis, I would no doubt be somewhere I do not want to be. Now, I work on getting an education to learn more about design, and eventually reach a point in which I can teach it back to others; like Jay did to me.

After surviving High School, I graduated from Ivy Tech State College with a AAS Degree in Visual Communications. I plan to further that education with a side-order of web design, and an emphasis on education.

Intrests and Miscellaneous Info

In my spare time, I enjoy a select few television shows, drawing (traditionally and digitally), playing online games such as World of Warcraft and Team Fortress 2, as well as managing a few websites my friends and I use to keep in touch. I also manage a website for my 'guild' in World of Warcraft; which has seen some pretty good amounts of traffic as of late.
