In spring, we got the upstairs carpet installed. It took two days, because we didn’t want to attempt to move everything downstairs. This view is the padding; the carpet is gray, a good match on the stairs with the downstairs, which is moss green.
Jake’s deck is finally finished, and he enjoys sitting and looking at the woods across the yard. He has an all-season dog door, too. He allowed us to put the grill in a corner, since we always share.
This fall, we managed to replace the doors in front and back, and put up vinyl shutters. The old wood shutters were in bad shape—these should last for as long as we do. Jake’s idea of helping install the doors was to keep the cardboard from blowing away. Pot Man sits in the garden by the fish pond.
