I turned three years old...
As of June 11, 2004 I am considered a big boy at three years old. The picture above was taken about a month before I turned three, so I was just a little baby then. Mom wanted me to include it because she thinks it is a really good picture of me on my favorite playground equipment.
My birthday party was the greatest ever. Mom invited a special guest to deliver my cake but kept it a secret from me. To give you some background, I am a big fan of the Cookie Monster. I have a video of his that I love to watch. Mom and dad thought it would be a cool surprise if he came to my party so that I could meet him in person. Boy was I surprised!! When I first saw Cookie Monster, I was a little scared but I made sure he was properly introduced to everyone by doing the sign for Cookie Monster over and over again. Eventually, mom and dad talked me into giving him "five" and then "ten". After a couple of those, they talked me into giving Cookie a hug and that was all I needed. Cookie Monster was so nice that I would give him a hug, step back, do the sign for another hug, and it would start all over again. I just couldn't believe that he was there, all I wanted to do was give him more and more hugs.
Here are some pictures from my party. Let me know if you need help figuring out which one is Cookie Monster and which one is me...

It was a great party filled with great people. Not only was it a birthday party for me, it was also a party to thank all of my therapists for their help during my time in early intervention. I officially graduated from my early intervention program when I turned three years old, so I wanted to express to each of my therapists how truly lucky I was to have had such great people helping me achieve all that I am able to do. I will always remember each of them.
