Artist vita

Charlie Wisseman grew up in Cockeysvelle, Maryland. After completing degrees in chemistry and medicine, he practiced pathology for many years at Carle Clinic in Urbana, IL, making mixed media art in his "spare" time.

He has exhibited at local shows in Urbana and Champaign. Charlie won "Best of Show" for his Nautilus 2 box at the national juried show "Inside the Box: A Shoebox Show," at Parkland College, Champaign IL, in January, 2005.
