| Who Were The Celts?: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About the Celts 1000 B.C. to the Present Book review by Tracey Yet another Barnes and Noble selection, I picked this one up about a week ago. I always wanted to know exactly what defined the term Celt. This book certainly told me! Although a little dry, and in some ways a little too much information for me, I found the answers to my questions here. For instance, did you know that the French, British, and German people are essentially all from the same gene pool? You got it. The Celts! I always wondered what the difference between the Irish and Scottish was also. Apparently not much of anything, as they’re all descended from the Celts, too. This author tells us that the Celts migrated from what is essentially Germany to France, Britain, Ireland, Italy, etc. He explains how they all became their own separate people. As a history enthusiast, it helped me understand some gaps in my overall education of peoples in Europe. I found it interesting, and I found out that I most likely have Celtic blood in my veins too, even though I am primarily of German and Spanish descent. No wonder the Celts are interesting to me!
