| Russka: The Novel of Russia Book review by Tracey I found this book on the bargain table at Barnes and Noble, and you can’t always get a bargain on the bargain table. Mr. Rutherfurd employs a series of folk tales to tell the history of Russia. The stories were interesting, and their simplicity was probably the best thing for someone like me, who knows practically nothing about the real history of this country. Someone more knowledgeable of the history and culture may find it a bit shallow, but that is only my impression. The casual readers of today are perhaps too addicted to constant action, as are people in general. Tracey. Visit Book Reader's Traverse Home Page for more selections.
