The Princes in the Tower. Alison Weir. Ballantine Books. 1995.

Book review by Tracey
I must confess that although I enjoyed this book I don’t really feel that Ms. Weir has uncovered anything new in her intense study of the sons of Edward IV of England. I suppose that is the true point. She appears to pour over every bit of evidence existing from this time, and doesn’t seem to come up with anything different. Something I did learn during the reading of this book was that there are serious organizations in existence that support one or another of the theories of who really killed the boys. I couldn’t get up enough interest to really care one way or another. Ms. Weir seemed quite thorough in her investigation, but as I was reading it for entertainment that fact caused the story to be a little on the dry side. I will have to try out another of her books to really absorb her writing style.

Tracey.
