Book Review by Joel
This book was given to me. I read it to honor my ancestors. I was going to build earwax statues of my ancestors when I figured it would be easier to read this book instead.

The Night Crew is about a paparazzi style news team that goes out and tries to find exclusive footage of news stories that can be sold to the highest bidding TV stations. It is a ragtag team type of plot. It revolves around Anna, the beautiful and smart leader of the team. She is intelligently good-looking, and she can kick some ass.

While shooting some footage one night they catch an animal rights group setting some lab animals free. They also catch a jumper who falls to his death, which they catch on tape. Then all hell breaks loose. Somehow or another a serial killer decides to lay some lovin’ on Anna’s good looking smarts and starts killing everyone associated with her. We are given a few clues to lead us in the wrong direction. Then the dad of the kid who jumped ends up helping Anna, because after all he used to be a cop on the vice squad. Within a week these two love predators wind up in bed while a serial killer is hunting them down. There was so much blood on my book by the end I could hardly read it. But it was a page turner and I couldn’t put the damn thing down.

There was a moral dilemma where she has to decide whether to shoot the bad guy in the head or the chest, and that’s all I can say about that. The book did not satisfy me on a deep level, but my crocodile/rodent brain was happy. I guess sometimes that’s all that counts.

Did I mention Anna was smart?

Joel.
