This book has no remembered point of arrival at my house. I can tell you
that I haven’t had it long, and probably picked it up off a bargain
table somewhere, but that’s where the speculation ends. I’m
sure that I was unaware that its author was a Christian writer, but that’s
okay. I am not familiar with the author, but even with all the expressions
of chastity and professed faith in Jesus Christ, it was still a good romance.
It is the first in the ‘Highland Hills’ series. I may look
for more. The story features Anne MacGregor, the religious heroin, and
Niall Campbell, the mourning head of a rival clan. All the basic themes
are here. Romance, adventure, conniving relatives, and danger are present.
It is written well; the dialogue is smooth and unforced. An easy read.
Just what I expect from my romances, except for the religious stuff.
