I
made it my special summer project over the last two years to spend
plenty of time watching and photographing the southern resident community
of killer whales. They spend most of their summertime around the San
Juan Islands, which is only an hour drive from my house. Sometimes
I even get lucky enough to see them from my house. This is my first
painting of the orcas, but more are sure to follow. |
