On
a trip to Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge, in Florida, Kalon
Baughan and I really focused on photographing "Spoonies".
Every afternoon a flock of spoonbills would fly into the same spot,
making a great subject in the late afternoon and evening sun. On this
trip Kalon designed a collapsible raft that would hold our tent at
night. This allowed us to sleep on the water, and be with the birds
at sunrise.
