featured painting: My First Oystercatchers         20" X 30" :: acrylic           status: sold           This scene depicts my first lifetime sighting of black oystercatchers in the middle of a coastline hike at Point Reyes National Seashore. I didn't get a photograph of the scene with the birds in it, but the memory was so vivid that I was able to recreate it several years later after having several photo sessions with oystercatchers near my home.
