featured painting: Return to the Nest - Osprey         24" X 36" :: acrylic           status: sold           My friend Ed Shultz showed me an area near my home that has almost 20 nesting pair of ospreys within a small area. We spent many days photographing this particular nest from a small island accessible by canoe. It was great to see the adults raising the young at such close range. This painting depicts the male returning from his hunt empty-handed, which happened often.
