After all of the preliminary information gathered from the site visit has been analyzed, the conceptual plan(s) can begin.
This Plan consists of a schematic showing proposed road systems, tree masses, off-site view considerations; chapel and memorial locations; and any other feature that impacts the viability of the project.
The Concept Plan is meant to encourage dialogue between the cemetery board and the planner. It is at this level of the project that ideas can be formulated that will steer the planner in his/her approach to the actual plan of the cemetery. It is also at this point that the Board and planner can approach the local regulatory agencies with the concept of establishing a cemetery within the community.
