MACINTOSH

I am indebted to Macintosh computers for their friendy ease of use and reliable systems. Although I used Windows for many years all day long in a networked corporate environment, when my own time and money are on the line, I'll take a Mac.

Performa 200

My first Mac was a Performa 200 (aka Classic II) which I increased to 10MB RAM.

Specs: The Apple Macintosh Performa 200 features a 16 MHz 68030 processor, 2 MB of RAM, and either a 40 MB or an 80 MB hard drive in a sleek, compact all-in-one case with a 9" monochrome display.

PowerMac 6100

The second was a PowerMac 6100/60 with upgrades of 40MB RAM, 1MB L2 cache and a 1GB drive, and a 486 DOS card with 16MB RAM running Win95.

The Power Macintosh 6100/60 PC-Compatible ships with a 66 MHz 486DX2 processor card that can have a maximum of 32 MB of RAM dedicated to the DOS/Windows operating system."
