Isaiah's vision overlapped kings from Uzziah to Hezekiah (cf Isa 1:1)

In Isa 1:8-10, Isaiah makes the shocking comparison of the Jews with the people of Sodom and Gomorrah, cities destroyed by God by fire and brimstone because of their extreme sin over 1000 years earlier. Traditionally these cities were believed to be covered by the Dead Sea, and recently a large graveyard (without a city nearby) was found in a place called Bab Edh-Dhra on the shores of the Dead Sea in the right vicinity to have been used by Sodom and Gomorrah.
