1. Fig. 1 shows the start of the double punch.
2. Fig. 2 shows the first punch in the target. Notice that the left hand is at Nage's chest. The hand is already half way to the target. This makes the time between the two punches very short and the extra movement gives more power to the second punch.
3. Fig. 3 shows the start of the 2nd punch. Nage is well off the original line of attack.

4. Fig. 4 shows the 2nd punch in the target.
5. In Fig. 5 the 2nd punch is complete and the striking hand has been drawn back ready for the next action.
