Name : Timothy G. Stempel Email: tims@botc.com Date: 2009-09-28 19:19:29 Comments: My father was a pilot and member of VMD 154. He never provided much information to us as the war was a very private part of his life. He loved the Marine Corps, so by extension so do I. Please provide me with any suggestions on how to research his life in the squadron. He was likely a 1st Lieutenant. His full name was Ernest Charles Stempel and his best friend and co-pilot was Harry Neudorfer.
Thank you so much for perserving the history of these great men and their memory. |

I have been looking for some of his military background info since his death in 2001. I have a bunch of pictures that were taken while he was stationed there (all on thick picture stock with the stamp on the back). Would you like me to scan and send? My brothers and sisters are interested in learning more about what he did, etc..
Thanks for all your hard work in keeping this going. Roger |

He passed in 1984 and it is too late for me to ask any questions about his service in the war and I would love to hear about it. If anyone remembers him, I would be thrilled to hear from you. Thank you. |
