After completing a 4 year build on my 66 Chevelle SS396 (click on 66 SS396 above)
I realized I needed to have another project car. I had always wanted a "Hot Rod", 27 T Bucket, 32 Low Boy, 33-34-40 Ford or a Willies, so I started investigating all the above . I finally realized I liked the lines of the 33-34 Ford the best. So that narrowed down my searching. After researching the various body/frame vendors I started looking at kit cars so I would not have to reinvent the wheel and source hundreds of parts from dozens of vendors.
That is what convinced me to go with Factory Five's 33 Hot Rod.
I ordered my kit on February 13, 2012 with a finish build date of April 7, 2012.
So now I am patiently waiting for my kit to arrive.

April 10, 2012
Got my serial number from Factory Five today.
F5R1000432HR
Should be completed in time for Stewart Trans to pick up Thursday or Friday of this week.
Keeping my fingers crossed!
(To be continued)

April 15, 2012
Stewart Transportation called yesterday and said they would deliver my kit today or tomorrow.
WOW!!!
I really caught a break with the timing. Kit was finished just in time for the Thursday or Friday truck.
Who knows when the next truck would have been back to the factory.
Will post pictures of the delivery
Delivery

The Build Begins.

As you can see from the pictures above the Kit was delivered on Monday April 16, 2012.
It took till Friday April 20 to complete the inventory.
That was not 4 full days of nothing but inventory as after awhile you can only count so many screws.
My count agred exactly with FFR's back order sheet except they shorted me two lower rear axle control arm bolts, washers and nuts.
Just a couple of side notes before I get started.
My intention is to help other builders by adding information that I haven't found during the two months of waiting for my kit to arrive.
During those two months I read every build thread on the FFR forum so I will try not to repeat any information that is already posted.
If I mention something that is already posted I apologize in advance.
Also another apology is in order. As I was reading all the build thread I would cut and paste tips, suggestions and any other info I though I would need for my build to a Word document for later reference. In using things from that document I realized I did not note who's build thread I copied them from so if I mention something from somebody's build I will not take credit but I can't give proper credit either.
I recommend the cut and paste to a word document as a very helpful way to remember things you need or want to do to your kit.
