Betty was adopted by Edwin and Eva Hall. Her birth-mother was Virginia Lee Prickett (sp?). She was born in Cincinnati, OH and raised in Piqua, Ohio. She attended public schools in Piqua and graduated from Piqua Central HS.
Her first job was taking classified ads for the Piqua Daily Call. She studied cosmetology for a while but didn't like the work and dropped out. She then moved to Dayton, OH and subsequently to Cincinnati.
Betty moved from Cincinnati to Chicago where she lived for 30 years. She worked as a billing clerk and, upon retiring, returned to Cincinnati. Her passion was music and she studied both piano and voice for many years.
