Dark Age Of Camelot Spellcrafting Information

Here in one document I hope to be put the knowledge about Spellcrafting in Dark Age Of Camelot hereafter refered to as DaoC that I need to chose how many pluses of what ever the customer wants for the amout of points the items have, what I need to purchase to make the jewels and how much it costs to make each quality of jewel. Hopefully there will be several charts or tables to help without taking up much paper.
First we need to find out from the customer what they want on the items and until what season they plan to wear or use the item. Next we need to find out how many points each item has for imbueing. After we have that information we can figure out first what the maximum amount of what they most want is for the maximum season they will using the item. We do that using the following short table of caps for the different type of things we can add to items. In the table we will use standard math signs of operation MS will stand for maximum season they plan to use the item.

Stats MS x 1.5 Skills (MS / 5) +1 Resists (MS / 2) +1 Hit pnts MS x 4 Power (MS /2) +1

The cap for focus is 50 no matter what season they will stop using the item.

Keeping the caps to the different things in mind we then try to give the customer the maximum of as many of his wants for the imbue as we can by the points available to us. We do this by knowing how many points each plus of each thing we add cost in points. The following table should help in figuring that part out.

Key * means requires overcharging item possible destruction of item and spellcrafter. The number after the / in points is the cost if there is another with a higher number before the /. If the numbers are the same then one get charged the number before the / and the other the number after the /. __ means it is no longer possible to add to any item. It is above the ability to overcharge an item. In the points columns if there is no slash then there is no way that will not be the highest point cost item ie. No way not to spend the maximum point cost for that addition to the item. Cost is not exact but approximate with a little added for time.

Now we need to know what jewels add what to the items.

On the second ingredient you will notice two columns of numbers for any thing that uses ground draconic scales use the second column of numbers for the amount of the ground draconic scales.

Here is a list of the spell crafting jewels in the order of difficulty to make. This allows you to know which jewel to make next. The order repeats for every level of spell crafting. For example an Icy Essence Jewel has a difficulty of 1, 101, 201, 301, 401, 501, 601, 701, 801, 901. Because of this repetition I will only list the ones from 1 to 99.
