Witnessing/Apologetics Class

Our witnessing course consists of eight 2-hour classes, meeting once per week.  We can conduct these classes at your church. Since witnessing involves speaking, class participation is encouraged. We have taught this course several times in different churches and can provide references. See the right side of this page for a few testimonials from those that have participated in this course.

Door-to-door training will be conducted on alternating Saturdays. During this course, it is mandatory that those taking the class go out witnessing.

Although we will not necessarily follow it, we will utilize the book,
"Taking Truth Next Door-Offering honest answers to 21st-century seekers" by author Dr. David Faust (Standard Publishing, Cincinnati, Ohio).  This is a good apologetic book, easy to read and understand.

This course is a culmination of several books on witnessing and my experiences knocking on hundreds of doors since 1991.  Our goal is to find people who can witness aggressively, train them, and help them find the elusive comfort zone of witnessing.  While we look forward to assisting people, we can't take on the job of the Holy Spirit.  They must be motivated by Him, not us.  Whether or not they do what this class intends is between them and God.  Our intent is for them to continue witnessing for the rest of their lives. We would love for a passionate leader to emerge that can continue organizing witnessing ventures long after the class ends. They should be in constant search for others to recruit for witnessing.  They could then become involved in training others.

Witnessing opens the door for various side ministries as we uncover many needs.  If a church has the resources and the will, it would be advantageous to develop follow-up teams, lay counselors, Bible study groups, discipleship classes, and other ministries to help in handling the work load that witnessing can lead to.  If it isn't possible to develop side ministries, we, still, encourage the church to continue reaching out to the lost. Perhaps ministries can be created at some time in the future.

Our intention is to NOT push our particular doctrines. We are aware that there are many different views of Biblical doctrine and we are always sensitive to the beliefs of your church. We will work closely with the Pastor to ensure that we don't cause any problems in this area. Our goal is to get you to witness, not push our beliefs.

If you'd like to see a summary of our witnessing course, see our summary outline page. Keep in mind that if you see anything in the course that could, potentially, conflict with your church doctrine, we can work around it, provided it is not a doctrine essential to the Christian faith (i.e. the virgin birth, the resurrection, the divinity of Jesus, etc.).
