Registration: This is a self-registration event. Go to the desk at the Aztar Hotel and ask for the Volksmarch (walk) box . Follow the instruction in the box to register for and participate in this event. Children under 12 must be accompanied by and adult. You must fill out a start card and on completion of the walk place it and any money if applicable in the SASE and mail.
Trail Description: Daily dawn to dusk. The trail meanders along the Ohio River front, past the fortress of fun, through historic residential area, business district and near northside. Features many historic churches. All curbs are not cut and wheelchairs may have difficulty. You may wish to carry water in the summer months. The award is an enamel pin with a river boat depicted on it, with year bar. See AVA Events in Henderson, KY for additional Year Round Events.
Directions: 421 NW Riverside Dr. Phone 812 433-4400 or 800-342-5386 From the North take US 41 to Lloyd Expressway (SR 62) west to Fulton Ave exit , turn South to Riverside. At the curve Fulton becomes Riverside. From the South exit US 41 at Veterans Memorial Pkwy. west to Riverside Dr. Follow the AZTAR signs.
Free parking is available in the hotel parking garage.
