PLAYS, MUSIC AND BREATH-DEFYING ACTS OF TALENT!

LOCAL, LOUISVILLE, AND “LIVE WITHOUT A NET”!

July 16, 2006 (edited July 31) – Sight and Sound presents “Live Without a Net,” an evening of comedy, music, and theater on August 12, 17, 18, and 19, 2006 at the Rudyard Kipling!  Four one-act plays (two by local playwrights John Hetzel and Adam Watson) will be staged along with Louisville musicians, monologists, and mischief-making comedians.  “Live Without a Net” marks the return of Sight and Sound to the Rud after their triumphant sold-out production of Clive Barker’s “History of the Devil” at Kentucky Center’s MeX Theater last April.

Tickets will be sold at the door.  Ticket cost is $7.00 on the 12th, 18th, and 19th.  The show for Thursday the 17th is open donation at the door, with half the proceeds to benefit the Rudyard Kipling.  Reservations for dinner and tickets can be made at the Rud by calling (502) 636-1311.  Performances begin at 7:30 pm each night.

ABOUT SIGHT & SOUND

John Hetzel and Troy Colon, the partners behind Sight and Sound, are no strangers to Kentucky theater.  They have produced ten stage productions over the past five years, and pride themselves in maintaining both technical and artistic excellence in their work.  Paul Kopasz of LEO Magazine complimented their production of The Trial: “[Sight and Sound] is appropriately named as they pay much more attention to mise en scène than is often the local norm. . . . John Hetzel and Troy Colon acquit themselves nicely behind the scenes, making sure the technical aspects of the play are as well honed as the acting and the script.”  They are excited to once again bring local talent to the Rudyard Kipling’s stage.
