-There will be a potluck lunch and a congregational meeting after worship on Sunday, May 7.

-New Life Pregnancy Center will hold two-day training classes for volunteers on June 10 and July 22 and on October 14 and November 4.

-New Life Pregnancy Center will hold its Life of the Party dinner and auction on April 28, 2006. The theme will be "The Life of the Party." For ticket information, call 872-5556.

-New Life Pregnancy Center will sponsor a Pure Freedom Retreat for young ladies on June 23rd-24th at First Christian Church. Applications and the $10 registration fee are due by June 16th.

-New Life Pregnancy Center will sponsor a Team Huddle July 14th-15th at Decatur Foursquare Church for boys in grades 7-12. It will be based on Bob Gresh's Who Moved the Goal Post? Applications and the $10 registration fee are due by July 7th.

-
New Life Pregnancy Center will hold its annual Banquet for Life on September 12, 2006.

-We will take up a special collection on each communion Sunday to help fund meals at the Friday night New Generation Torchbearers ministry.

-Camp One Way (1654 E. 2945 North Rd., Mt. Auburn IL  62547, 217-676-2533/800-500-6774) has put its newsletter and calendar online.  Just click on the "Click here to see what's NEW".  Then click on the line for the newsletter.  Check "page 2" for the calendar of coming fall events.  There are also pictures from the summer camps--click on "Pictures" from the home page.

-New Life Pregnancy Center needs diapers (sizes newborn to 5), diaper wipes, baby bath, baby lotion, baby shampoo, new and used cribs, china tea cups and saucers, and a digital camera.

-God's Shelter of Love needs a mature, healthy, Christian woman to work 8-16 hours/week at the shelter. The candidate must be able to work some Saturdays and Sundays, climb stairs, and perform some physical work. Call 422-2790 for more information.

-Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary has established a database of updated statistics and other information on all religions throughout the world.

-The Southern Baptist Convention launched a prayer initiative called Be...One in a Million.  The vision is to challenge Christians to respond to God's call by turning to Him in repentance for a prayer-centered relationship.  Those who register and have computer online capabilities receive brief weekly e-mails.  You do not have to be a member of a Southern Baptist church to join (www.namb.net/prayer).

-The Evangelism Toolbox has been established to help Christians locate specific evangelistic materials in many languages and formats from a variety of organizations.

-The Discovery Institute has established a website pertaining to the theory of evolution.

-The theories of evolution and Intelligent Design are discussed at www.origins.org and www.apologetics.org .
