M.A.M.E. = Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator.

Basically, M.A.M.E. is a arcade video cabinet that plays multiple arcade games.  This is accomplished by hooking a PC upto the arcade controls.  The PC is running emulation software for the numerous computer chips used in the different arcade games and ROM emulation software for the different games.

Making all of the pieces listed below is considered a M.A.M.E. Project:

There are numerous web-sites that explain how to build a M.A.M.E. Cabinet and there hundreds of web-sites showing examples of completed M.A.M.E. Projects.  I have included links to the best of these web-sites.  Also, I have detailed my M.A.M.E. Project to give you an idea of the steps involved in creating your own M.A.M.E. Cabinet.
