The Local Fauna

Here is a small sample of the critters I get to see on a daily basis. Click on an

I have definitely developed a Love-Hate relationship with the local deer population.
They are brazen, ravenous, adorably cute little shits that have ravaged my (used to be) flowerbeds. I have not mustered the motivation yet to research the indiginous flora that the deer won't eat so that I can start the real landscaping. Maybe next year.
Bird species abound here. The birds I have been able to identify are: Eastern
Bluebirds, Scarlet Tanagers, Indigo Buntings, Cowbirds, Woodpeckers: Piliated, red-bellied & downy, Flickers, Nuthatches, Creepers, Titmouse, Cardinals, Blue jays, Orioles, Turkey Vultures and a plethora of finches, warblers, wrens and sparrows.
Quite a menagarie of Critters. I still have to get pics of the Fox, Wild Turkey,
Coyote, Racoons, Owls, Eagles, Hawks and lots of others. |
