Photography
Cameras, like other media technology have come a long way over the years. I recall my first Kodak instamatic --- point and shoot. In 1978 I received my Pentax K1000 for a Christmas gift, which I still have. It has been throughout the United States and Bermuda. Last year I bought an Olympus Camedia C3020 Digital zoom. Quite the difference exchanging film for media disks. The 35mm images were scanned with a Nikon LS-2000. These are colored images taken with either Ektachrome or Kodachrome slide film. The beauty of slides is their shelf life. These photographs were taken between 1978 and 1981, yet the color has been preserved. These are not touched up with any software. The black & white images are photographs taken during the summer of 2002. The film was processed & developed by me at our community college. These images were scanned off the original negative using the Nikon LS-2000. The digital photographs display photos using two different cameras. The photos that were taken in Florida were taken on a very basic Fuji digital camera with a low resolution. All other digital images were taken with the Olympus. The Photo Mates were digital images arranged in PhotoShop. A memory to last a lifetime.
