Because we know today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders, Insight has a strong commitment to education in the Bowling Green/Warren County area. To assist our educators, Insight has long provided the following free services:
1) FREE cable TV connection to each school and necessary equipment to receive Cable In The Classroom channels.
2) Over 500 hours of FREE educational programming – free of commercials and with varying copyright clearances.
3) A fulltime Cable in the Classroom consultant with classroom teaching experience as a resource.
4) FREE educator workshops:
Innovative uses of Cable in the Classroom as a Teaching Tool
Coordination of CIC network links to classroom instruction
Parent taping partnership workshops
Media literacy for teachers and parents
Ways to teach media literacy in the classroom
Learn to love your VCR.
5) Opportunities for award money and student leadership training through Insight’s Project USA.
6) Opportunity for student body growth in appreciation of volunteerism through Insight’s Project USA.
7) Contests usable as teaching opportunities.
8) Quality locally produced programming with teaching ideas provided FREE to each school media center.
