Baddie Breast Cancer Charity Auction

This Auction came about because a Bryan Adams fan had emailed Michelle Larsen asking for help selling a prize possession of hers, a Bryan Adams autographed Fender . This got me thinking about how else I can help her. Thinking to myself that she must be in real need if she is selling such an item, then it came to me that no matter what she wouldn't possibly get enough money for her needs. So I decided to contact Kathy myself and ask some rather personal questions, Kathy was diagnosed in 2002 with breast cancer and has had a mastectomy on her right breast, not long after Kathy found out the cancer had spread to her bones, and now recently it has spread to her liver.

Kathy Just turned 50 years old on January 16th . This horrible disease has taken over her life, her financial needs are way above her means, she hasn't been able to work for 2 years, her husband has been limited to part time due to not being able to afford to fix their only vehicle. This disease effects us in so many ways , that we all take for granted on a daily basis. This is why i chose to reach out and help in any way I can. I feel that I am better off then most in the sense that I have a job, my health and my family, many don't have those choices or options so I consider myself well and truly lucky, and why not offer a supporting hand to those less fortunate than myself.

This auction is to help Kathy be at ease, reduce stress, and try to help make her as comfortable as possible for whatever her future may hold for her. I will auction off her guitar for her and 100% of the funds will go to Kathy. When I was thinking of helping her I also wondered what else i can do, then a friend of mine and I were chatting and I came up with an idea of a "baddie auction" and how can we pull this off and what can be done between us baddies to help Kathy.

During this conversation with my friend Nathan, he said he would donate and item himself and that he would email Jim Vallance as well, Jim replied immediately with an incredible offer that blew us away, at the same time Nathan emailed Mr Vallance I was emailing Tommy Mandel, not only is Tommy an ex band member for Bryan Adams, he is also a very good friend of mine that I thought would be interested in helping out as well, and as Jim Vallance done, Tommy replied immediately with his incredible offer as well, this again had blown me completely away. I was quite pleased with the out pouring responses from these people that it all set in motion what I was thinking in my head and I knew this would be an amazing auction for Kathy and a wonderful cause.

As I said above the monies made from the guitar will go 100% to Kathy, and 15% of the proceeds of the remaining items will also go to Kathy to help her more than just her guitar could. The remaining monies will be donated to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Center in NYC on behalf of all Baddies, whether you have donated , bid or not. I also have been in contact with Michelle Larsen from the Fan club and she has graciously donated some items as well. The generosity form everyone is truly overwhelming and I am so very grateful to everyone involved. Below there is a pink ribbon to enter the auction page to each item with a brief description. The auction is not to help Kathy alone but to also help others who are less fortunate then us and to help make awareness a very important issue, awareness is key in survival, along with research so that some day there may be a cure for this horrendous disease .
