A PICTURE GALLERY OF 8 AUSTRIAN TOURS

I would like to describe our 7th annual bike trip across Austria in June of 2004.  There were 8 participants: myself, my wife, my brother from West Virginia and his wife, another brother and his wife from Kansas, and my sister and a friend of hers from Maryland.

The plan was to fly into Munich (München), spend two nights there and two nights in Passau, Germany  in order to recover from jet lag and to see the sights before getting down to business.  We were to take the train from Munich to Passau, which is on the Austrian border where the ride would begin.  After 3 days on the Danube we would head south into the Alps along the Ybbs River valley for 3 days, return to the Danube along the Erlauf River, and finally finish up in Vienna (Wien).

We had decided to bring our bicycles instead of renting; and all lodging had been reserved ahead of time via email, letter, and in one case phone.
