by
Adam Watson

"I thoroughly enjoy Adam Watson's work!  He is a rising star, a brilliant poet!"  -- Ron Whitehead, author and activist

"Some of [Watson's] lines are quite smart. Some are even insightful . . . 'Lollygagged and Flannel Flogged' is . . . promising early work . . ."  Paul Kopasz, LEO Magazine (July 25, 2001)

Louisville, Kentucky, December 3, 2001 - Author, student and aspiring teacher, Adam Watson's new book Lollygagged and Flannel Flogged is a collection of poetry. Composed in an eclectic mix of new and old styles, the resulting poems are memorable and moving. Watson challenges the notion that poetry today must be academic, emotionless, or difficult to understand. "I am not against poems making you think," he writes in a provocative foreward. "I am against poems not making you feel." Coupled with the beautiful black and white photography of Douglas Staley, Lollygagged and Flannel Flogged is an attempt to bring poetry back to the forefront of popular culture, without patronization or diminishment.

Lollygagged and Flannel Flogged is now available from your favorite bookstore, from online merchants such as Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble (bn.com), or from the publisher directly. The author can be contacted through his website: www.adamwatson.org.
