"Noah's Ark" #1: A boat-shaped mass at "Noah's Ark National Park" in Eastern Turkey (left), is at 6500 ft in the Mountains of Ararat, immediately below the mountain of Al Judi, named in the Qur'an as the resting place of the Ark. This is claimed to be the traditional site of Noah's Ark for centuries, which was returned to prominence by a U-2 photo in 1959 (below left) and an expedition to the site in 1960. The modern photo (left) shows additional exposure of the "Ark" since an earthquake in 1978. The "Ark" dimensions (below center) are close to the correct size as specified in the bible (especially in light of the uncertain length of a cubit). What is believed to be an anchor stone (below right) has been found in a nearby village. Nevertheless, many scientists claim this is a natural formation, and the "Ark" contains iron "rivets" and other hardware, which would be anachronistic.

"Noah's Ark" #2: An object protruding from a glacier on Mount Ararat (right) was claimed to be Noah's Ark in a CBS News Documentary in 1993. However, whether or not there is any truth to this, it seems once again CBS News was taken in by a con man, because much of the "evidence" presented has proved to be a hoax.
